This class is for all budding geologists, or anyone who just wants to learn more about the Earth. During the year we will study the Earth's atmosphere, structure, and processes. We will also learn about weather patterns and formations. Additionally, students will learn geologic classification techniques and assemble their own collection of rocks, minerals, and fossils to keep for further study. Participants will also spend time learning about water and glacial systems. Course content will meet all of the state/national benchmarks for elementary and middle school earth science education.
