Folk Art at its best!
This is a continuation of the class Creative Crafts of the World (One) and (Two). We couldn't fit all the neat stuff into two years! There will be no duplicate projects between any CCW classes. This having been said; CCW (One) or (Two) are not prerequisites to take this class. Degree of difficulty will remain the same as our other CCW classes. Adults will love taking this class too!
Learn basic craft skills while exploring the world through an artistic demension. Learn how others around the world use materials and tools at hand to create useful and ornamental objects.
Some projects may include; - South Pacific batik dying -Pine needle basketry -impression clay work -Inkle loom -Shaker cheese basket -Colonial American tin punch -mosaic -weaving techniques (on and off-loom ) -Peruvian gourd decoration -Italian glass fusion project -lace -Russian reverse glass painting -Bavarian straw tree ornaments
