Folk Art at its best!
This is a continuation of the class Creative Crafts of the World (One). We couldn't fit all the neat stuff into one year! There will be no duplicate projects from CCW (One). This having been said; CCW (One) is not a prerequisite to take this class. Degree of difficulty will remain the same as CCW (One)
Learn basic craft skills while exploring the world through an artistic demension. Learn how others around the world use materials and tools at hand to create useful and ornamental objects.
Some projects may include; -Viking netting -lavender wands -block printing on T-shirts -Austrian folded paper Christmas stars -paper casting -Mongolian wet felt -needle felting (dry felting) -Huichol Indian beading -apple basket -Italian glass fusion project -Japanese braiding( Kumihimo) -Tole painting
