A fun environment. Students will be given exposure to a variety of mediums, some of which may include  watercolors, pens, pastels, acrylics, collage, and charcoal/pencils. They will learn about famous artists of the past, their styles, see samples of their work, than apply it to their own work. They will learn artistic terminology, basic elements of design, color theory, and more. Drawing at home to increase their skills is required. Many sources are used: Examples include: Adventures in Art series, Art A Global Pursuit, Discovering Great Artists, and many more.

Text/Materials needed portfolio to transport artwork in. Paint shirt is optional. Mats for their artwork, in order to display them in art show.
Prerequisites A desire to learn and explore different mediums.
Basic skills required Some experience and capabilities in drawing. Can work independently.
Parental Responsibilities make sure that they bring their portfolios each week, and paint shirt (optional). Mat their artwork for display at shows. A sketch tablet and drawing pencils for at home use.
