Folk Art at its best!
Practice artistic expression using craft techniques from around the world. Create wearable art and enrich your surroundings. We will use high-end materials as well as primatives for our projects-- each being worked on for a number of class sessions. Adults will love taking this class too!
Projects may include; -Australian Aboriginal Dot Art -weaving (various loom types and off-loom weaving) -Italian glass fusion -egg basket -spinning wool into yarns -natural dyes -Maasai beading -Ukrainian Easter eggs -Baverian seed mosaic tree ornaments -Colonial American Quilting
Each student will get lots of individual attention. A low-stress class that is bound to be gangs of fun! The class Creative Crafts of the World (Two) is the companion to this class. We couldn't fit all the neat stuff into one year!
