This class will cover Western Civilization Foundations.
Students will learn about the beginning of History at Sumer, Mesopotamia, Egyptian civilization and warfare, Ancient Greece and Greek civilization, Greek mythology and Gods and Greek warfare learning about important battles. We will also cover Sparta, Athens, civic culture, architecture and drama, philosophy of Socrates, Plato Aristotle and, the rise of Alexander, the Hellenistic world, the Rise of Rome, Roman government, Roman politics and culture and mythology,Romes Gold and Silver ages, Jesus and the New Testament, emergence of the Catholic Church,Muhammad and Islam,The birth of Byzantium,and Charlemagne.
